I chose to read an excerpt from this book for this theme as I love dragons and I love the kind of relationship that lives between a rider and their dragon. I love dragons and the mystic so when you say flight I don't think birds and man made flying machines; I think of the beauty of gem-like hide-covered wings floating in the air.
I chose the part where Eragon must overcome his fear of flying on Saphira to truly be her rider. At first he is terrified but he soon comes to see that it is an amazing experience and he can always trust Saphira. He sees things through her eyes (literally!!) and can truly understand the joy and majesty of a dragon's flight.
