Might be better if you tell us what books are yours. If it is only The Traders, you really should contact Support and ask to be moved to a new profile. The one you have at the moment will be where all other same-name author books will be imported.

Thank you for responding. All of the Piece of Cake Paleo books, the Chia Seed Recipe Book, the Easy Diabetic Recipes books (all the cookbooks are mine), as is the Traders. I've a few others on Amazon that are not listed yet.

So, about a third of the 50 titles are mine. What should I do?

To separate author profiles with the same name, Goodreads uses one (or more) extra spaces between first and last name.
This is only visible on the edit page, and has no influence on search.
There is one issue where the spacing is relevant. Goodreads has lots of automated imports from various sources, like Amazon. Books that are imported will always end up on the 'default' author profile (with 1 space in the author name).

Currently, the 1-space profile is yours. This means that your books that are imported end up automatically on your author profile. On the other hand, books that are written by another Jack Roberts, will also end up on your profile. You can ask in the Librarians Group to have them moved.

The other alternative is that you ask GR Support to move you from the default, 1-space author profile. There will not be any book from another Jack Roberts appearing on your profile. But when one of your books is imported, it will end up on the other Jack Roberts profile. You'll have to ask a librarian to move the book to your profile. (Or you can add your books to your profile yourself once you have the ASIN or isbn, which prevent the import, as the ASIN or isbn is already in the GR database.)

It's a long explanation and I hope it makes some sense.
Which of these options you choose, might be dependent of the number of books that you write, and the number of books that are written and imported by other Jack Roberts.

Also, there is a quote attributed to me on this new profile that is not my quote… it's from a book I didn't write. I prefer not to size people up at all… and if I do… I likely wouldn't do it quite that way.
