If anyone is looking for a challenge book, try "The God of Small Things" by Arundhati Roy. This book is also mainly focused around Indian culture (follows the life of an Indian family) so if you're into reading about different cultures try this one out

This is one of the most beatiful books I have ever read. Beautiful writing, and emotive story. A little challenging? Maybe. But it's worth it.
