Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky and maybe 2034 if there's more space, but arguably 2033 is way better than 2034.
Slaughterhouse Five is incredible.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is funny and great.
Animal farm is pretty good as well as 1984, but it might be a little bit mature for some people.
Starlight by Neil Gaiman (any book by Gaiman for that matter) is short and sweet and makes you think about morality and what is justifiable in the name of survival.
LEVIATHAN! What if WW1 was fought with genetically modified creatures and robots?

I am building my class library next year and would love your input. I have like 90 titles right now (outside of the Middle School English Library Core) and will fill the remaining ten with your titles. You can add book titles (just click add book/author above) to this discussion thread. That'll be easier for me to add it to my pgu-classroom-library shelf and kids' choice shelf. :)
Thanks.
