It's been awhile since I read Fahrenheit 451 but when I read Something Wicked a few weeks ago I was really blown away by the beautiful writing style, and I don't remember feeling that for Fahrenheit 451. I also have Bradbury's October Country lying around so I'm hoping to get to that soon to see what that feels like.
I liked the story too, though I wasn't super hot on the ending. (Can we talk spoilers here? well SPOILERS: they kind of won through the power of hugs haha) Regardless the book went on my favourites shelf!
Maybe, I'm not sure. I took it at face value in a sort of Disney, good-always-trumps-evil sort of way, or that fear never has any real power over you, but I'd like to think there was something deeper I overlooked, too.
