Waheed | 1 comments Hi guys, i have just finished reading Against Democracy by Jason Brennan. Its a strong critique of democracy and how we can make it better by electing the knowledgeables_ the type of people who are Philosopher Kings of Plato. The writer has presented an incisive and intriguing account of democracy with a different perspective. Its a treat to give it a reading.

message 177: by Awais (new)

Awais Irfan | 17 comments The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead; heard great things about it!

message 178: by Muhammad (new)

Muhammad Usman (goodreadscomusman_425) | 5 comments Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck..
It is only 100 pages long.
One of the strongest aspect of this novel is characterization. I believe John is a master of this art.
The pace of the novel is slow and at the end you will be left in a state of bewilderment...and you will wish, this novel to be at least 300 pages long.
