Janice (jamasc) | 47854 comments What's a temporary thread? I'm just curious as to what you're tracking. It looks like you're setting up for 2017 and the leftover stew challenge.

Funny, because I was just thinking about this today for myself. I'll keep filling in the slots till the end of the year and then whatever isn't finished will go in the stew pot.

Lilisa | 2402 comments I'm curious too! Which then dawned on me - and hate to hijack Almeta's thread for this question but, what happens to our individual yearlong challenge 2016 threads - do they get deleted when 2016 is over? I'd love to be able to continue tracking the challenge into next year so inquiring minds want to know!

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 10084 comments lol! You guys don't miss a trick!☻

That thread could not have been up for more than 2 minutes before I tried to take it down.

You guessed it correctly Janice. I needed a "clean" thread in order to capture a list of "mentioned in this thread" books for Leftover Stew".

Lilisa, I think it sticks around for a while. (Janice is the goddess of that.) I plan to keep going too. However, I'll probably lose interest once I start working on next year's challenge. Low attention span. Oh look a squirrel!☺

Lilisa | 2402 comments Ha, every move you make, we'll be watching you :-) sounds like you've got a lot of book ingredients for your leftover stew - sounds yummy! This challenge will probably be easier to carry on than the serial one since it can be less intentional...hey, a squirrel, another ingredient? :-)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 16849 comments Where's the sqwwirrel!?!

message 7: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 47854 comments I don't delete the threads. They're still here going back to... 2013/14?? You'll find them in this folder.

I'm wondering if this thread should be moved to the YLTO member zone since it's a left over challenge. It could probably stay here in this folder for now and then moved at the end of the year.

It went that way.

Good to know the thread will still be around - thanks Janice.

message 10: by Almeta (new)

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 10084 comments I'll move it Janice.

I never really intended to keep it at all.

message 11: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 47854 comments No problem. You can do with it as you will since it's your thread. It's fun to read though, and likely to add more books to my wishlist.

I've added the links for easier investigation!

Janice (jamasc) | 47854 comments What are you guys going to do if I decide to do a "Geocache Redub" for 2017??

message 18: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 19745 comments Still plenty of books left for me to read, Janice!
My book list has quite the criteria update for all of the categories where they could have been applied.
