3*** Really a 3.5 for me but not enough to go up to a 4. I REALLY wanted to love this book & overall it was okay. I found my mind wandering during parts of it & would have to read entire pages over. I loved the island and some of the character but felt that it was drawn out. The ending fell a little flat for me.

All good books

✔︎ Halloween: Dead Things by Stephen Blackmoore |★★★| Oct 4
This one was a little too dark for my liking, but it wasn't bad. The writing was very good and the characters are definitely interesting. If you enjoy the darker side of paranormal / supernatural, this is an interesting series to check out.

✔︎End of Summer: Her Second-Chance Family by Holly Jacobs |★★★★| Oct 16
I loved this! It's a very sweet romance between a successful banker and a young woman who has taken in three foster children at a young age. I like how she loved the unconditionally and taught the them about taking responsibility for their actions without going overboard. It's a fast read and just perfect for a quick afternoon read!

No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean |★★★★| Oct 27
I really enjoyed this! The boys were really cute and even though the plot was a bit predictable, I enjoyed the banter between the couple. It was a fun read.

She is an avid Historical Fiction fan; the Middle Ages – with all its brutality, bloodthirstyness, scheming & skullduggery – makes her love it all the more. She is also a fan of the Roman Empire and Vikings (more battles, blood & guts – oops! is this a theme?). A dream of hers would be to join a group for real, either Roundheads & Cavaliers, or a Medieval Group! She just has to find one & convince them she is a Lady of the Court – not a poor serf’s wife!
Other interests are Wine Tasting, Cooking Italian or Indian food. She loves to cook for friends & family! A group around the table, eating, drinking, chatting, and sharing... to her is BLISS. In addition, she has two sons immensely proud of, who are both marrying soon. Her short term goal: she wants to be a nice mother-in-law!
