But when there are so many they start to blend together. Right now I'm thinking maybe Edith killed herself? (hide spoiler)]

There's no way for me to guess at a murderer without it just being a random shot in the dark. It sucks that at almost 3/4 the way through I don't feel any excitement or urge to guess the killer. I know I'm supposed to be interested in all these different characters but I'm not so I just want the story to move forward. Done: (view spoiler)[ Really unimpressed with this book. It's always sad to have a mystery/crime book that doesn't get your blood pumping or keep you guessing. I didn't really like any of the characters and there was no action to make up for it. So Edith ended up being alive, which after I while of no leads for murder I began to suspect. Pretty disappointed that there were no suspenseful bits or red herrings thrown in. (hide spoiler)]

32% - I had a difficult start with this because of the british slang mainly. Now, I am starting to get a proper feel of the characters. They're interesting especially Davy, he's sweet. I can see how the characters are given attention a little bit more than the case. But it's only the beginning!

I had a bit of trouble with the slang too. I had to use the Kindle's dictionary feature quite a bit.

Yeah, there were definitely a lot of chances for something interesting and suspenseful to happen that just weren't used. Super disappointing that the author didn't take advantage of them.
