I started writing when living on Catalina Island, doing a weekly article for the Catalina Islander Newspaper for 21 years. After retiring as harbormaster, I had a story to tell, and I did in my memoir, 'Between Two Harbors, Reflections of a Catalina Island Harbormaster'. After it published, I went to work on a novel, a seafaring adventure that incorporated some of my sea-going experiences into a story about a young couple looking for a change in their lives. It changed their lives forever. @ dougoudin.comBetween Two Harbors: Reflections of a Catalina Island HarbormasterFive Weeks to Jamaica
