Janice, how often does a woman over 60 need to appear to count for bonus points? In the book I read, there was a woman of around 80 years of age who appeared a couple of times but they were both very brief and she didn't speak or anything. Is that enough? I have included the 3 points in my total but I will change it if I need to.

Do you consider that she was a small character, or was she more just a mention on a couple of occasions.

She didn't have any real impact on the overall story but she is more than just a passing mention. I think, seeing as I am not completely sure, that I will not include the bonus points.

I actually read Tears of the Giraffe for the challenge. But when I noticed that I could get a glue stick(my first) for a different book, I went ahead with it.

On field-day in elementary school, I was the kid who went home with just the Good Sport Badge so winning makes up for all those failed sack races.
