Lisa (lisathebooklover) | 9244 comments Janice, how often does a woman over 60 need to appear to count for bonus points? In the book I read, there was a woman of around 80 years of age who appeared a couple of times but they were both very brief and she didn't speak or anything. Is that enough? I have included the 3 points in my total but I will change it if I need to.

I'll let you decide. I did say "not just a mention". Do you consider that she was a small character, or was she more just a mention on a couple of occasions.

Hmm, it's very difficult to say. She didn't have any real impact on the overall story but she is more than just a passing mention. I think, seeing as I am not completely sure, that I will not include the bonus points.

Poongothai (poongsa) | 483 comments I actually read Tears of the Giraffe for the challenge. But when I noticed that I could get a glue stick(my first) for a different book, I went ahead with it.

Joan Janice,
Beautiful badge thank you!
On field-day in elementary school, I was the kid who went home with just the Good Sport Badge so winning makes up for all those failed sack races.
And thank you for inspiring me to read an interesting set of short stories. I recommend it to everyone Moscow But Dreaming
