I think it's impossible not to love these books - Steven James writes them so well. lol

Yes! Up until the end I didn't trust him either!! But then when (view spoiler)[he got shot by detective Warren, (hide spoiler)] I felt sooooooo bad for Tessa!! And then the way that Patrick broke the news to her -- so harshly -- made it even worse even though you know why he did it, so that he would get a strong reaction from her to distract (view spoiler)[Sevren. (hide spoiler)]

I know!! These are the best books in my opinion and, as you know, Steven James is my favorite author.

The next book is one of the slower books in the series, but it's still good. You get introduced to Patrick's brother. :D I'm up for reading it whenever you want. Next month, December, or even next year. Just let me know. I'm having such fun rereading this series!
