The Hank | 3 comments Good evening.

I always thought the book im going to explain was a Mitch Rapp seriers book that I read. I knew it wasn't the first in the series after i completed it between 2005-2010. A year or so later i started the audio books from the beginning and ive got to protect and defend. I found the mitch rapp book tonight which ended up being act of treason (one before protect and defend) and it isnt the book I'll describe but i must have read it at a similar time.

So from memory the lead is a man, 30's to 40's, im sure he got shot in the knee by a sniper in a previous adventure so left the CIA or FBI at the start of the book and setup his own agency but done work for his old employer. He had a colleague.

The story basically went...there were some terrorist attacks happening in america, being blamed on dodgy islamist groups but in the end the originators were different, i wont say anymore.

But the lead was tough like Rapp but had the knee issue but was really really funny, i remember describing the book to someone, saying he was like the guy from 24 but funny, the story had humour, i so thought it was rapp i told people to start the series and look for his name. I started from the beginning and have always been waiting for him to get shot and leave the CIA :D

He saved the day of course and shot a bad man with a bear banger (i think its some kind of bear deterrent) at some kind of lodge.

Now at the point where im sure it wasnt a Rapp book. I've googled and googled but can't find anything. Please help before i go any madder, my memory has really played tricks on me with this one.

Thanks a lot

Spoilers are fine, as long as you don't put them right in your header.

The best way is to use spoiler tags, click on "some html is ok" to find out how.

The Hank | 3 comments Rosa, you legend! Sorry for my late reply.

I better get up in the loft and find this book and give it another go.

Is it a good series? Maybe i'll get some more.
