Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 198 comments I was trying to find a book to add to my to-read list and found that Mrs. Howard Taylor is here termed Geraldine Taylor, but that her books are mixed up with a current Geraldine Taylor who writes children's books.

My instincts are just to create a Mrs. Howard Taylor, since she published under that name, and manually separate the books, but got to second-guessing myself and decided to come over and double check that that is the correct action. Thanks...
Geraldine Taylor

lethe | 16359 comments The author bio says she had books published under Mrs. Howard Taylor and Geraldine Guinness Taylor, so I think the Geraldine Taylor profile should be kept for the current children's book author.

If she also used Geraldine Guinness Taylor in her lifetime, it has to be decided which should be her main profile, GGT or Mrs. Howard Taylor. If she didn't, Mrs. Howard Taylor should be the main profile and Geraldine Guinness Taylor added to the editions with that on the cover (or even with just Geraldine Taylor on the cover, to disambiguate from the current author).
