I haven't finished yet, but bingeread last night. I agree, I can definitely see that Crouch is also a screenplay writer- the descriptions and way things are described are almost written as if to make this into a movie one day. I think I'm going to like this more than you overall, but we shall see!

I'd see the movie depending on who's cast as Jason. It will certainly be strange!

I found this book entertaining from a popular fiction sort of way. It's thrilling and you aren't ever sure how Jason will work his way out of situations. Since it's titled "Dark Matter" I thought that would play a bigger role in the book but I think it's only mentioned once in the initial description of the physics of "the box" and then that's about it.
The premise is pretty interesting but I don't think it was fully thought through and some scenarios seemed unlikely (even considering the whole book is impossible).
The grander statements about love's boundlessness and personal connections and infinity seemed like surface explorations and not super deep.
But even so, it was entertaining. It was a quick read and the language simple (even considering the kind of extraordinary topic).
