This was a series that was about a ruling family in the underworld or realm where Satan and his extended family protected the people of this town/realm. The characters were named Satan, Devil,etc. one thing I remember was that when Satan was getting to a time when his physical body was up he would begin to fade and eventually he would become sort of like a ghost. However, he would appear occasionally to his family. I read the series 2009-2012and would like to re-read them and to see if the author continued the series. Any help will be appreciated.

Possibly The Black Jewels books by Anne Bishop. Starts with Daughter of The Blood We have Saetan, Daemon, etc. and as I recall characters could come back as some sort of ghostlike entity.
