Part 3: The Wasps' Nest, Chapters 14-25
(view spoiler)[
Chapter 16 - Danny
Q:[on Wendy's jealousy over Danny always speaking to Jack first] To those who are married, and has kids, have you ever felt the same way Wendy did? If yes, when? If no, not even a hint?
Other than this- (view spoiler)[
Hubby and I are good in that area. It's like, tanggap ko na mas close sila, kasi magkamukha sila.
Chapter 19 - Outside 217
Q: [on the fire hose] When you were a child, what are you most afraid of? [on Danny hearing "you cheap prick!" again and again from Jack's mind] What's the first curse/bad/taboo word or phrase you learned? How?
I was afraid of falling. I had a falling accident when I was a little more than 3yrs old. I was in a cast. From then on, I would dream of falling off a flight of stairs and it felt like I couldn't breath. Sometimes, if I am caught off guard, I still feel that way when confronted with a long flight of stairs.
I grew up in the midst of Sampaloc Manila, I learned every kind of cursing, I can't recall which came first though.
Chapter 23 - In the Playground
Q: [on the hedge animals "prowling" Jack] What are you most afraid of now, as an adult?
[on Jack's love for his father despite his flaws] Mention one flaw you saw in your father as a child. If you cannot remember, mention one flaw in general.
Being a parent right now, mostly I'm afraid of failing my daughter. I kept thinking that maybe we cuddled her too long, she will not be ready to take on the world alone.
Ugh, my father had a habit of helping anyone in his relations (which isn't exactly bad), sometimes neglecting to consult my mother first.
Chapter 25 - Inside 217
Q: Got scared of this chapter, and/or the lady in the tub? Why, or why not?
Creepy! Maybe because I can still see the movie figure when it was mentioned.
