Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3281 comments I also would prefer a poll or individual threads (like Laura's suggestion), rather than a "choose for the person above me" approach, since my impression of this topic was to get a group opinion, not just one person. It's not too hard to count up the votes in the thread, but I think a poll would make it much easier on us, although probably a lot more of a headache for the mods.

Also, I just remembered that someone above (Manda, I think?) mentioned that we would still need a solution for this for people doing the rejects challenge, if this topic doesn't win. I'm thinking if that's the case, the "lucky pick" option might be the best way to go?

Elizabeth | -19 comments if it wins why just not have PARTNERS; what I mean is have it like PIFM ,( Pick It For Me) where we have a one post put up for all of us , then in that post we put up the five books we want to read, then when it comes time to pick , we pick one for our partner and they do the same and post what ever book they pick and what ever book we picked them in that post ,

I think the reason is that people want their group pick to be chosen for them by a vote or by more than one person in some form, not just have one person pick.

That's more like the Book Pals system in the other group. PIFM is a little different. The voting isn't that hard.

How would you pick partners ? There are over 2,000 members in the group this year, but only a small amount post here other than to talk about the books they are reading.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 1731 comments Has someone started set to g up the list for next years discard challenge? There are quite a few prompts that were very interesting that did not make the list.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 1731 comments You two are amazing. Do you mind posting the list or maybe sending it to me? I was to scattered to even think of keeping track from the beginning.
