The term "city of bones" refers to a crime scene where bones are located and the area is then gridded like a city for analysis. Had you ever heard this term used in this context before?

Tracey (trakka) | 407 comments No I hadn't. I was wondering if it was a well known North American term.

I'd never heard of the term. It's interesting how this series keeps introducing new to us law enforcement or local terminology.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I've never heard of it.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I'd not heard of it either, but I think it was a clever title: the bones that the tar pits were bringing back up made me think of the title having a double meaning.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I also hadn't heard it and found it interesting.

That is an excellent point about the bones and the tar pits, Charlene :0)

I also thought the tidbit about the 9000 year old murder victim was interesting. Human nature has not changes at all.
