Lula (view spoiler)[definitely basically gets beaten up by healing someone. When she healed Alex and got that big bruise on her head she herself didn't care. She cares so much about people that even though she shouldn't heal little things because of its effect on her, she heals them anyway. I think she's softer than she shows herself to be. Alex (view spoiler)[has big magic abilities so her dad is afraid of her, right? Is that her big secret? She killed her cat, her dad buried it, and then he left. What was it he made her promise to keep a secret? The fact that she had abilities or the fact that he buried the cat? What did you get from that part? (hide spoiler)]

The part when Alex's (view spoiler)[family was whisked away by a demon was SO freaky! If the house had been quiet and dark when I read that I'd have been so spooked, but it was daytime and NASCAR racing was on TV. LOL Thank God for small favors! (hide spoiler)]

Nova (view spoiler)[there was a time when I was starting to think he might turn out okay but that was short lived. LOL Betrayal is THE worst! (hide spoiler)]

Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. I forgot to post but yes I finished Part 2 and almost done with 3 but working with Scott in the house. Not sure I'll finish tonight.

Yeah, I really liked certain aspects of it, such as (like you mentioned in your interview) the cultural learning and I'd appreciated her notes in the back as well. I didn't realize there were differences between brujas and witches, for example. Still not 100% sure what they are since brujas are witches. LOL But I did like it and thought it was different.
