I've been wanting to watch this show, but I wanted to read the books first! Anyone else planning on reading them or have you read them?

Omg! I feel the same way! I haven't watched the T.V. shows yet, but have been wanting to. I just purchased this first book and will be happy to read it this month.

I've been planning on starting this book. But all of my friends have read it and I didn't want to read it alone. This gives me the perfect opportunity to read it. My boyfriend actually had me marathon the show with him 2 weeks ago. We watched the first 5 seasons and it made me want to read the book even more because I want to know at what point did the TV show take a different direction from the books. Also I was confused on some things that I know the book will explain better

I read it for the first time ages ago when I was still a teen! Okay, not agggeesss ago coz I'm still young :p But I've read it a few more times since. I'm going to start the series again and hopefully by the time I reach the end, GRRM would have concluded the series. My wife watches the series but I've only watched the first episode of the first season. I'll watch them whenever I finish a book.
