Sorry, Cyrille, WorldCat doesn't mention that author and its not on the cover.Is there anywhere that he is mentioned?
According to the Bibliothèque Nationale Marc Duveau is the editor, and no authors/contributors are listed: http://catalogue.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/cb...Could you give a complete list? It seems odd to single out one author.

In fact the editor is Marc Duveau (who also write an introduction), Omnibus Publisher, and Howard Pyle Illustrator of the cover, (the mermaid, 1910), with Jacques Goimard as the one who made this.

Is is also mentioned here in the bibliography of Jacques Goimard. He also made La Grande Anthologie du fantastique and the 3rd La grande anthologie de la Science-Fiction, which is not added in Goodreads yet.
Lethe, I noticed that on the BNF description, there is also not even a mention of french fantasy written in the book (Chaumette and others french authors, in the list I give) with English and USA Fantasy mentioned on their book's notice, so odd, indeed, you are absolutely right about this.
I'm afraid that website is not a source we can use for covers and other book info.Do you have the book yourself? What is the role of Jacques Goimard, is he the actual editor?
On Goodreads only 50 author names can be added to a book. I see some authors contributed more than one story, and many of the names mentioned have different author names on Goodreads (Mervyn Peake for instance). Rather than to check each name before adding them as an author manually (no copy/pasting because of the capital letters), I'm actually inclined to add them to the description instead.

Yes I own a copy of the book myself. Jacques Goimard was the author, exactly the guy who have the idea to make these three anthologies (fantasy, sf and fantastic) with Marc Duveau in this one, with others authors in the two others "anthologies". He was also director of publication for many others books of fiction (800), contributor etc. as written in his goodreads biography.
If you want to add them in the description, it is ok for me. But Goimard and imho, Howard Pyle as Illustrator, deserve to be added as author and illustrator.

An author is not an editor. If Jacques Goimard and Marc Duveau both selected the stories for this anthology, they both deserve a mention as editor.
The cover illustrator can only be mentioned in the description, he cannot be added to the author field according to Goodreads policy.
I know I said Amazon :) , but libraries > Amazon when it comes to book info (except Kindle editions). And the BN doesn't list him.Book-in-hand > library info though :)

Well, in fact the book is add to my shelve, as I own it, so it is ok for me.
I also wanted to mention that this french author miss on his book, to see if the correction can be make. But if cannot for any reason, despite the libraries links and french sites mention him or photos of the book itself, well ?
Apparently he is not on title page (nobody is on credit except editor Marc Duveau), he is mentioned in the book (as on my page photo), despite the fact he made also the 2 others books of the collection... and he is well mentioned on the 2 others, so Omnibus or the co-author/editor Marc Duveau can only make this more clear if these info are not enough to mention Jacques Goimard.
Forgot also to mention him on p.897 as an interview of him is written and noticed by Marc Duveau, and also in the Index of the book, at the end, I can share a photo if can help ?

If the book itself doesn't credit Goimard other than as a translator and the French National Library doesn't mention him at all, I don't think he needs to be added as this book's author on Goodreads.
I did copy the contents you gave in message #4 to the description, so all the authors/contributors including Goimard are given credit. I hope this is acceptable.

So after some research, Jacques Goimard was the main director of the collection, Marc Duveau work with him for these books : previously it was 4 books, united in this one present Omnibus edition and some others.
All the original series was in pocket and named "Le Livre d'or de la science-fiction", lead by Jacques Goimard, including the 4 books that are inside "La Grande Anthologie de la Fantasy" : Le Manoir des roses (L'Épopée fantastique - 1)
La Citadelle écarlate (L'Épopée fantastique - 2)
Le Monde des chimères (L'Épopée fantastique - 3)
La Cathédrale de sang (L'Épopée fantastique - 4)

It is me who thank you, Lethe, for your good work. Hope it improve this book and help made it more exact.So do as you think it is better, I totally agree with you. I think all the info made that you are right on statement that Marc Duveau was commissioned : It appears the same for many others books of the collection, at this past time.
