Setting edition as default / combining editions

Hello,

I have created an alternate edition for my paperback in order to add a new cover, leaving the ISBN section blank (as per instructions on setting alternate editions), however I cannot seem to set the new cover edition as the default for the paperback version (i.e. so that if I list the paperback ISBN in a giveaway, I will get the new cover appearing on the giveaway rather than the old).

Apologies but I have also accidently created a separate page/edition in trying to do this (which doesn't look like it is combined(?) with anything else), which I cannot find an option to delete! However, this separate page gives me the option of 'set this edition as the primary work for this work', which is absent from the other combined pages (although the new cover/kindle cover appears to be set as the default cover image overall, which I would like to keep).

Could you help me with setting the new cover edition as the default for the paperback, and if this means I can get this alternate cover edition to appear on a giveaway?

You have created 2 copies of the same edition, one with each of your names. This is wrong. The new cover should be set up under the name it was first published under (Karolina) & also should have the secondary name it is now published under (K.D.).

I'll fix the editions and whence this is done, you as the author or support are the only ones able to set up the default edition.

OK, its all fixed now Karolina.

Follow the above instructions and you should be able to set up the default edition.

I have tried the instructions but unfortunately I don't get any option to select the new edition as the default edition, I only get the below options:

Disable tooltips
Refresh book and work rating stats
Refresh book page cache

Presumeably this means if I list the paperback ISBN it will still come up with the old cover? (Although the option to select a default edition did come up, under 'edit details', when I incorrectly created a new copy of the edition under a different name - not really sure how to get around that?)
