Acelin was sitting in the corner of the café, drinking hot chocolate and eating a brownie while reading a book. She tried to avoid looking at anyone, as that would probably cause he to look at more people, and get a headache. She enjoyed her book silently, being unassuming and out of anyones way.
Yuna sat at a small table by the window. She sipped her tea, and sighed at the warmth of it. For once, she wasn't crying, and was slightly happy. She watched as people sat at the outside tables laughing.
Acelin got up to throw away her trash, and kept her eyes glued to the floor the entire time. While she was up, she also bought another brownie and tipped the barista, of course not looking at her. She loved brownies, and she loved eating while reading.
Yuna looked up, and saw a girl avoiding eye contact with everyone. She tilted her head a bit and softly smiled. She sipped her tea once more, and traced her finger along the wood on the table.
Acelin went to sit down when she tripped halfway to her table over an uneven tile that she was usually able to avoid, when she got distracted by the noise of a barista letting a door slam shut loudly. She fell face first and groaned, quickly sitting up to rub her forehead.
Yuna looked up, and ran over to her. "Are you okay Miss?" She asked her and held her hand out. A look of concern crossed over her face, as she stared at her.
Acelin, slightly dazed from the fall, looked up at Yuna. She then cursed under her breath before taking her hand and standing up. "Yeah, I'm fine..." God, now she was going to be depressed all day, analyzing this poor girls past.
Yuna stood up and looked at her. "Good.." She said to her in her soft voice. "What brings you here?" She asked as her blue eyes looked her up and down.
"Food and...yep, food." She said simply. Since she realized it was basically no use, she actually let her self look at the girl. As she looked she continued to know more and more about her, but she didn't reveal that, as she knew it could be detrimental.
Yuna nodded. "Same here." She replied and looked around. "If..If you don't mind me asking, what is your emotion?" She asked.
Aaron didn't follow her gaze, as she knew she would end up looking at more people. "Sonder." She replied truthfully. She knew most people didn't know what it was, so she was sure she was safe saying just that. She already knew Yuna's emotion, sadness.
"Sonder.? What's that?" Yuna asked. Her more curious side was coming out. She led her to the table, and sat down. She gestured at the other seat.
Acelin sat down across from her staring mostly at either the table or out the window when no one could be seen. "It's complicated."
"Okay, you don't have to explain." Yuna said as she kicked her feet back and forth. She thought about what she should say to the girl.
Acelin sighed softly, as she realized they had come to the point in the conversation as most of her conversations end. She knew everything already, they had no more questions, and they sat in awkward silence before one of them had the guts to make an excuse to leave. ((If you get her crying again that would certainly concern her more and make things more interesting if you didn't already have a plan))
Yuna said nothing, as she stared distantly out the window. It was as if she was lost in thought. She suddenly started crying, as she saw someone that looked like her mother. She couldn't control it, even if she tried.
((Yeah, I was planning too. XD))
((Yeah, I was planning too. XD))
((Awe noice))Acelin was startled when she started to cry. She could easily anticipate the rain, because she knew, but didn't anticipate for her to start crying so spontaneously. "Hey, hey are you okay? Whats wrong?" She asked, concerned. She didn't know if she should move to her side and help her, or let her just cry. The latter surely seemed cruel.
Rain started pouring too, as she wiped at the tears that flooded from her eyes. "I-I'm sorry.." She said and tried to stop but couldn't.
Acelin shook her head and got up to sit next to her. "No, it's okay. I know you cant help it." She said softly, trying to comfort her as she wrapped an arm around her shoulders. She liked rain, so she wasn't bothered by getting wet.
Yuna covered her face, and knew some customers were leaving because the rain. She was confused as to why the girl was comforting her, because most would scoff and leave.
Acelin pulled out a black umbrella and opened it, putting it over Yuna's head. She then grabbed the (thankfully covered) napkin container. She took some napkins and with one hand holding the umbrella, she tried to dry Yuna's hands and face as best as she could, all while whispering comforting things softly to try and make her feel better.
Yuna's crying had softened, and after a while, had stopped. She looked up at her, and sniffled a bit. "Thank you.." She mumbled, and looked around. She saw people staring, and looked down. The rain lessened, and only a few drops at a time fell.
Acelin closed the umbrella and set it down. "It's okay." She noticed Yuna was upset that people were staring. "Don't worry about them, okay? It's just water, it cant hurt anyone." The water had drained through drains anyways, so it hadn't damaged anything. "Are you okay? Can you tell me what happened?" She asked, still worried. She knew it was probably nothing, but she still wanted to make sure.
"Okay.." She said, and rubbed her eyes like a child. "I..I saw someone who looked like my mom. It sounds silly. Sorry." Yuna said to her. "I'm okay now."
Acelin nodded. "It's okay, I understand." She knew if she saw someone that looked like her dad she would flip out. "I'm going to go get you some water so you don't get dehydrated, okay?" She said, and she stood up.
Yuna nodded and watched her. She couldn't wrap her head around it. She needed to know who that woman was, but didn't want to cry any more. Just the thought of crying even more made her tear up.
Acelin got her a glass of water from a disgruntled employee. She took it and thanked her, all without looking at her. She then returned to Yuna's side and set it in front of her. She pulled her second brownie out of her pocket. "If you want some of my brownie you can, I probably shouldn't have too much sugar anyways."
Yuna looked down at the glass of water and smiled. "You're so kind.." She said and sipped from it. She shook her head. "No thank you." The cold water felt good in her throat seeing as it hurt from crying.
Yuna shook her head. "I'm quite alright..Why did you comfort me?" Yuna asked her.
"Because you were crying, and even though sadness is your main emotion that doesn't mean you shouldn't be taken care of." She said honestly.
Yuna hugged her. She said no more, and it felt as if her heart would burst. Mainly from happiness, which was a new feeling to her.
Acelin hugged her back, smiling slightly. "Well, I'm glad I could help. And as much as I love rain I will try my best to keep you as happy as possible as long as possible, okay?"
Yuna let go of her. "Really? You'd do that for me? You don't even know me though.." She said.
Acelin almost laughed, but refrained from doing so. "You seem really nice, and I would hate for people to ignore you when you cry, like they have demonstrated just now."
"You're really nice too.." Yuna responded. "Thank you..For everything."
"Are you sure?" Yuna asked. "You really don't have to do this.." She said. She was happy though.
Acelin nodded. "I don't have anything better to do anyways, so youre really not getting in the way or hurting anything. I promise."
"Oh..Okay." Yuna said. She sat up and turned her body to face her. "So.." She said unsure what to say.
Acelin stood up as well, meeting Yuna's height. She started to gather trash. "I guess I better start picking up." She said playfully.
Yuna smiled and helped her. "Me too. By the way, what's your name?" She asked her curiously.
Acelin smiled. "Acelin." She started over to her own table, where her book survived. She stowed it in her bag and started cleaning up her trash.
"What a pretty name." Yuna said and threw the trash she had picked up. She quickly walked over to the manager and apologized.
Yuna nodded but then stopped. "How..How do you know my name?" She asked her and walked over.
Yuna tilted her head. "You sure?" She asked, furrowing her brows slightly.
