Kindle User's Guide question

I share my Kindle account with my family which causes a lot of problems on Goodreads. Books I have never read keep showing up as 'read' on my account. Is there some way to unlink our Kindle accounts from Goodreads in order to maintain personal control over what Goodreads indicates one has read?
