Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments May 25th is Geek Pride Day. It is also Towel Day (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference)

Celebrate your geekiness by reading something you secretly love but don't always want admit to.

Or if you don't want to let us know which books you have a weakness for (mine are books about princesses....loved Princess Diaries, please don't tell) then read something you consider geeky, with a geeky character, or the word Geek in the title.

I might read Kick-Ass 2 by Mark Millar .

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I'm not sure that I have anything I like to read but don't like to admit, so I'm not sure what I'll read. I love the theme though. :o)

I might go with a Christian book since it's not that I don't like or want to admit it, but I don't see hardly any others reading Christian.

I'll look at my books and post in a bit.

Trisha | 30284 comments ha!!! My total weakness is Pretty Little Liars (Pretty Little Liars, #1) by Sara Shepard
but the next one isn't out!!

so I'll go with Geek Pride! Jasmine and Maddie by Christine Pakkala

message 4: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments I may have worded it wrong. I couldn't find the words I wanted to use to describe it. Sometimes I know what I want to say and that a phrase already exists for it but can't come up with the correct words.

I am not ashamed that I love books about princesses but they are not something most of the people I know enjoy or would consider good literature so I tend to not talk about them very often.

I think both of you seem to have understood the point though. Too bad PLL isn't out. It comes out soon though?

message 5: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I love a good mystery so I might read This Is How It Ends by Jen Nadol . Or with a geeky character 17 First Kisses by Rachael Allen . Both are arc.
