If you could read anything about your partner country, what type(s) of literature would you be interested in (fiction, poetry, biography, history, philosophy, nonfiction)

I don't know what city our group is talking to but I would like to read the news papers and some of the historical fiction books
My partner country is Lima, Peru and I would be very interested in reading the local newspapers and magazines and also and local poetry. Also the history of how Lima came to be.

My partnered country is Monterrey, Mexico. If I had to read a book from this country, I'd like to read about myths or legends about this country and maybe some history about Monterrey.

I'm talking to people from Quito, Ecuador, and I would be interested if there's any myths there. Reading about there history would be cool too. So I'd read non-fiction and fiction.

I would like to read some philosophy and realistic fiction from Quito, Ecuador. I think it would be very interesting. It would also be awesome to see some books on the native plants and animals.

Maybe about their culture, some fiction books to get to know what types of thing they read that are fiction, and maybe some poetry books.

I would like to know more about that too! Would you want to read newspapers or articles on it?
