May I suggest "This Dark Endeavour" by Kenneth Oppel? It's Frankenstein-related and has gotten good reviews.

The Gothic Tales one would also be really good to do! If you're not familiar with it, definitely look it up. :)

I agree! I hear good things about Elizabeth Gaskill as well. I haven't gotten a chance to read any of her work, so this sounds good!
