Great idea for this month! I've already read Miss Peregrine but I should probably do a reread because I don't remember the story at all. Oops! I've actually read our next 3 books already but that's okay, I'll still post.
SPOILER: I liked them all. ;)

Book of the Month:
The posting dates for October as as follows:
- Friday, October 7th- Choose Whatever You Want From the List Below
-Friday, October 14th- Choose Whatever You Want From the List Below
-Friday, October 21st- Choose Whatever You Want From the List Below
-Friday, October 28th- Review of Mrs. Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children
What I thought you could do for the month is pick which topic you want to do each week. If you want, you can even do more than just the three weeks with the last week being the book review for Mrs. Peregrine’s. I’m reading and writing about all things scary for the month of October, so I’ll be sure to use some of these ideas and link them back to the Hype or Like group and the blogger who came up with them.
Here’s what I’m proposing… You can do whatever topic you want on Friday or any day you want, just make sure you link back to Larkin (wonderfilledreads.com) and myself (rantandraveaboutbooks.com) as well as the Hype or Like Friday group, same as you would any other meme, and also the blogger who came up with the idea. I noticed a lot of posts are not linked to Larkin or myself for Hype or Like Friday, just the mention of our names, which is not the correct way to link the creators of a meme.
I’m linking the bloggers below so you can see who these ideas belong to. There’s something called blogging etiquette so please use proper citation when posting the ideas on your blog. That might sound harsh but this is a group effort and everyone should be given credit for their ideas.
Donna @ Chocolatenwaffles (https://chocolatenwafflesblog.wordpre...) came up with the following ideas:
1# “It’s locked” The scariest settings/places where you would not want to be stuck.
2# “There’s something under the bed” Your favorite / least favorite book monsters (real monsters or human beings killing, being creepy or whoever gives you the heebie-jeebies)
3# “Leave the light on, mommy please” What does a story need to be scary? Are you afraid of real life and realistic stories or does the supernatural aspect do the trick?
4# TOP 5 scariest stories and why they make you want to hide in the cupboard
5# Words to images: which is more likely to make you jump? A movie or a book? / Your favorite scary adaptations
Chrissie @ Bloggin’ and Writing (https://blogginwriting.wordpress.com) came up with these topics:
* Most magical book you’ve read so far and why
* Magical ability you would like to have – book where this ability is showcased
* What Harry Potter house are you sorted with, and do you agree (since I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love HP.)
* Scariest movie you’ve seen / book you’ve read
* What horror character would you prefer to face-off with
Anne @ Inked Brownies (https://inkedbrownies.com) came up with these topics:
* Out in the Woods
* Leave on the Nightlight
FYI! Based on the poll I ran two weeks ago, we are reading A Darker Shade of Magic in November and Half Bad in December if you want to buy the books or reserve a copies at your library. I'll post the topics that go along with those books the last week of October.
