Bree took a large gulp of hers, instantly regretting the decision as she got a brain freeze. She groaned and put a hand to her forehead. "I'm an idiot." she laughed out loud.

Arlin chuckled. "That's what you get," she said, though she didn't mean it rudely. "Silly." The line moved ahead again; Arlin was only second in line now.
Bree bounced a little impatiently, although laughing again at Arlin's statement and herself. "I know, I know," she said, stepping forward. "It's a bad habit."
"We all have 'em." Arlington said. She sipped at her smoothie, humming at the taste of it. She bounced again, energized by the smoothie.
Bree took a break from her smoothie and poked Arlin in the side out of boredom. "You're cute." she said randomly. She and McKay would do that all the time to raise each other's self esteem whenever they were down.
Arlin grinned, squirming away from Bree's poking. "So are you." She said simply, leaning her head against Bree's shoulder for a second before straightening up. She meant it too.
Bree couldn't help but smile as her heart fluttered at Arlin's touch. She also noticed the person in front of them walking away. Bree pointed forward. "Your turn." she said, grinning still.
Arlin grinned. "Finally!" She said, and stepped up to the empty register. Paying for the clothes didn't take long at all, and soon Arlington was rejoining Bree. "Now where to?"
"We could walk to that music store across the way," Bree said, pointing the opposite direction of where she had gone for the smoothies. "I've been meaning to check out the instruments they have."
Arlin nodded, sipping at her smoothie. She adjusted the shopping bag on her arm and said, "Sounds like fun to me!"
"Great," Bree said, beginning to walk out of the store and down the way. "My dad used to take me to the music store all the time. Then he got busier at his job, so I haven't been as much."
"Makes sense," said Arlin. "Does your dad play any instruments?" She hopes she wasn't being nosy, though she didn't see how she could be.
"Only piano," Bree said. "Though he would take me all the time because I loved playing all of them. Piano, guitar, cello, and violin. It's taken some time, but I can play those four."
"That's pretty cool." Arlin said. They were walking inside the shop now. "I wish I could play, but there's not a musical bone in my body."
Bree laughed as her eyes flitted around the room, taking in the guitars hanging on the walls and the few cellos in the corner. "That's okay," she said, beginning to walk towards a cello. "It's not for everybody." Bree stooped to admire the cello. It was beautiful. The one she owned, however, was getting old.((Btw, I'm probably gonna be inactive for about a week because of Christmas break. I'll reply when I can though!))
((Okay! Have a good break!))Arlin simply stood back and watched Bree, not wanting to be in the way. Bree got infinitely cuter with that expression of wonder on her face, Arlin discovered, and Arlin liked to look at her.
((Sorry for the super long break. I should be back regularly now xP))Bree waved down the clerk. "Is it okay if I play this?" she asked. The clerk eyed her before nodding.
"However," the clerk said, "Any damage that is done to the cello or the bow you use has to be paid for."
Bree only nodded, too distracted and ecstatic to play it to pay attention to the clerk, who only rolled his eyes and went back to the counter. Bree lifted a bow gently off a shelf and positioned it and the cello against herself. She began to play a very familiar pop tune, nearly flawlessly. (Secrets by OneRepublic)
Arlin stood quietly off to the side, listening to Bree play. She liked it, though she wasn't very fond of the song. But Bree was good. Very good. She couldn't help but clap when the other girl finished, grinning.
Bree gave a mock bow, grinning. "Thank you," she said, laughing. "Do you know any cello music? Not to play, but maybe I could play something for you." Bree really wanted to impress Arlin further, already having a really good time.
Arlin shrugged. "Honestly, I have no idea. I've never heard anyone play cello before. What sort of stuff do you play?" Looking around, Arlin found a stool to sit on, and did so, looking at Bree with a smile.
"Anything, honestly," Bree said. "Mostly classical stuff cause not many pop musicians use cello." She joked. She started to mentally go through the large list of songs she knew.
Arlington couldn't help laughing. "Well, yeah, I guess that was a given, huh?" She shrugged. "Unfortunately, I don't know much classical music."
"It all sounds pretty, to be honest," Bree said. "Wanna hear my favorite?" She asked, preparing her bow against the cello. ((I'll probably just make something random up for this if that's okay XD))
((Yeah, go for it!))Arlin nodded, crossing her legs and leaning forward expectantly. She felt like she was getting her own private concert, or being serenaded, or something like that. Of course, that was silly, but she couldn't help it.
