There are two Karen's in this month's challenge. You are identified as Karen St. J's for St John's. Connie picked for you in msg 47. You are assigned to pick for Kay.

Welcome to the group Beth.

Unfortunately once pairs are selected I'm not able to include you in the challenge for that month. It's a hard deadline because of how this challenge works. The group runs the serial reader challenge every month and I send a notice to members when the sign-up begins on the 15th. I'm glad that you're interested and look forward to you re-posting your choices on next month's thread.

Meanwhile, please explore the group folders, introduce yourself in the "Hello, My Name is..", answer any of the cozy Q&As and check out our Featured Reads.

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments I've read my two challenge books for the month, Never Buried and Never Con a Corgi, by Edie Claire. I'm enjoying this series so much, I've started to read two more books in the series, one on my phone and the other on my iPad!
I read books 2 ,3 and 4 a few years ago, but hadn't been able to find any more in Australia.

message 92: by Karen (new)

Karen | 205 comments I've read my first October book. It was Glazed Murder by Jessica Beck. I'm still not sure if I liked it or not. I found that the main character was annoying at times.

message 93: by Julesy (new)

Julesy | 409 comments I finished my first serial challenge book over the weekend, A Deadly Grind. However, I didn't like it. I listened to this on audio and I am sure the lackluster narrator had a significant influence of my dislike. I am not sure if I am going to continue on with the next book. I can get the audio on hoopla, but I'm dreading the thought of listening to the same narrator again. :-(

Jeanne (oldemill) | 204 comments I finished book 1 for October, Lion in the Valley by Elizabeth Peters. I really enjoyed this one. Lion in the Valley (Amelia Peabody, #4) by Elizabeth Peters On to the next one.

It was also nice to be able to use this one for the Baker's Dozen Challenge and it also counted for my Read 100 books in 2016 group. I am proud to say that Lion in the Valley was book number 85 for this year.

Anyway, I've enjoyed it (although crying, I'm quite easy for it with books...) Glad to have continued with the series and two more to go....
