I'm sure my mom will agree with you on that one.. as just when I was slowly getting on track my brother was born and she had to deal with it all over again, this time with a son!!! :P :P
I can imagine your mother's plight and honestly empathise with her on that!!! I used to be a terror myself but having a terror now, who is ten times worse, truly makes me realise just how patient my mom was and still is!! :) :)
Hahahahahaha. true that :P :PAnd don't worry, we as a group specialise in PJs, after all our Mighty Mod is the King of PJs himself :P :P
haha.. :DI think I'm finally gonna have a great day tomorrow!
Going Clothes shopping and then book shopping! :D
p.s. I have 10 unread books on my table that I bought in the past few months + 4 books I recieved as rakhi gifts! :P
That's wonderful :D :D I love shopping, especially for clothes and books :) :)And don't worry about unread books.. Its always nice to let that library grow.. and you will get to it ultimately :) :)
Me too..:DI have had my eyes on The Hunger Games for a long time now.. I think it's finally gonna be mine tomorrow! *grins*
The looks my parents give me for piling up unread books and still buying more..!! Scary! But sometimes we need to brave the odds..right? :P
Absolutely Chip... Luckily for me, I don't have that problem anymore, although space is a constraint these days :) :)Hey Deej.. am here but will be going for dinner now.. What about you? Had dinner?
*tells Jins that in some societies if the guest doesn't burp after dinner, it is considered an insult* Therefore don't whack him.. he is simply following traditions :P :)
I don't remember which one exactly but remember this as Subodh was asked to burp after eating food with them, else they would have considered it an insult!! It really happened!! :D
Hahahahahahahahaha!! This sounds really preposterous. But I understand traditions, so I respect that. Okay Caveman, you're forgiven. *hands a chocolate to the Digital Caveman*
Arre one day I will share some of these bizarre experiences that Subodh has been through - they are really funny :) :)
Another funny tradition is in China - you are not supposed to empty your plate at the end of the meal. If you leave no food on your plate, you're disrespecting the host by saying that you haven't been fed adequately. Therefore, you should leave at least a few morsels of food on the plate.
@Jins - trying to read but failing.. so might go off to bed early!! And yeah Monday tomorrow :(@Sumit - yeah I know of that one.. it is hilarious!!
And leaving food on the plate is an insult in India! Ha! I love these traditions in different places. :D
Yeah.. small things and such differences. It is very funny actually and often when you forget, you are termed insensitive. Of course with foreigners its okay..
NOOOOO! Don't go to bed, please! It's rare for two of my fav people to be around here at the same time. Stay, please :|
*gets on his knees and grovels*
Arre oh caveman... am not going anywhere :) :)*smiles broadly at being called one of his fav people*
*sighs with relief and looks around for other fav people as well**uses drumrolls, Paradise biryani packets, and books as gifts to lure them*
One bribe to rule them all,
one bribe to find them,
one bribe to bring them all,
and in the chat room bind them!
(with due apologies to JRR TOlkien)
@Sumit - I don't mind that you have other favourites.. but please ensure that I am at the TOP!!! Else all EVIl will prevail in this kingdom *off with his head* *cackles evilly*
Shin, seriously. I'm not on GR because of books. There are enough books and more in the non-virtual world. It's the people who keep me around. After the Golden Boot incident, I contemplated deleting my account. But, some 4-5 folks here kept that from happening.
Thanks for being one of 'em. :)

*thinks of mentioning that the queue is height-wise, but stops*

Okay, do you want me to ROFC all over the place now? Because that is probably going to happen right at this moment. And it shall be a lot of work for you and Sri. :P
Jokes apart, you know what I feel about you. So I had to be there.
Okay now say something nice to Sri as well. She's probably raging now. :P
@Jins - thank you so much for your support.. but surely you know that the truly vain don't need much in terms of external gratification but find it right within :D :D :P :P
