Good morning :) good morning. ! Good morning! :P*hopes sumit will not miss my greetings like yesterday :P:P:P*
Gehna, did I miss your greeting yesterday? I am terribly sorry! And a very good morning to you too!Hello Ini.
Hi lurkers :-/
Morning Manu... Yeah I LOVED HIM! He was truly one of the finest actor/comedians that I have ever known. Hmmm a real tragedy...
I have seen almost all of his movies and his other stand up acts... He was just too funny and simply wonderful. Of course his latest on Star World, the series whose name I keep forgetting, was not really up to his class but then I guess clinical depression was the reason for that... Still I think he was the FINEST!! He will truly be missed....Hmmm

I know. So sad. I couldnt believe it.
Oh yes, definitely a great actor. I didn't enjoy his out-and-out comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire and Flubber, but some of my favourite Robin Williams movies are:1. Dead Poets' Society
2. Patch Adams
3. Aladdin (the genie!)
4. Good Will Hunting
I loved the four that you mentioned Sumit.. :) Those were movies, where he was simply superb :)yeah and you are right, Mrs. Doubtfire and Flubber was kind of crude comedy wise but still enjoyable for a one-time watch.
I've always liked the less crude/in-your-face comedy, Sri. Even with Jim Carrey's movies, I don't really like the ones where he goes over the top. :)
Me too Sumit.. I can't stand most of Jim Carrey movies for that very reason. Of course, I was much younger when I saw that in your face comedies of Robin Williams, so i guess I simply laughed.. but today, its the more subtle(?.. don't know if that's the right word) ones that I remember him for.
Likewise! However, one Jim Carrey movie that I LOVE is Bruce Almighty for so many reasons. :)I have no idea how many times I've seen that one.
Srividya wrote: "Good morning people :)And am sad today ---- Reason??? RIP Robin Williams :( :( :( :( :("
sigh..!!I never really knew his name even though I've watched and liked many of his movies..!!!:-(:-(
Ohh I loved Bruce Almighty too...But I hated that Salman Khan or some other guy's remake of it!! HMPF!!!@Ini - that's okay.. :)
Srividya wrote: "Ohh I loved Bruce Almighty too...But I hated that Salman Khan or some other guy's remake of it!! HMPF!!!"I CANNOT STAND Salman Khan at all. :P
And even though I don't believe in god, I thought Bruce Almighty was quite path-breaking in many ways:
1. God is a black man - not blue-eyed, fair, and handsome but a black man with freckles!
2. God is a janitor - not someone who sits around giving orders to people.
3. The whole concept of 'free will'
Hahahahahahaha.. Salman Khan and for that matter all the Khans, with maybe the exception of Aamir have that effect on people :P :PAnd I truly agree with you on the path breaking concepts as portrayed in Bruce Almighty. It was indeed a lovely movie, where Jim Carrey was also not given an opportunity to overact much! :P
