@Ini and Jins - you guys will enjoy for sure.. am not a person who likes such events in general, therefore the feeling. Ini goes to weddings and enjoys it, so she will enjoy her own :) :)

Hahahaha Ini - that fear is normal. If you didn't have it then I would be surprised. I don't think that's bad , it is a natural thing.. However, for me a wedding itself, whosoever's it may be, is a nightmare!!!Take me to a party and I will enjoy but take me to any family function and I feel so irritated and out of place!!!

Arre Arpi.. marriage is fun but wedding ceremonies.. Sheesh I am not a fan of those.. definitely not mine, especially as I had to get up for those ceremonies and be dressed like a doll at 4 in the morning!!!! :( :(

I detest wasteful weddings, and the fact that the people who are actually getting married have the least amount of fun at weddings.
However, the last 2 years since then have been fantastic and I guess I'm quite lucky to have a great partner.

@Sumit - that's really sweet.. Oh you've been married only for 2 years?? That's nice.. Trust me the love and fun only grows as the years go by :) :)And to your other point, even if the fanfare is minimal, it still is there, especially those ceremonies.. I had to get married both in Maharashtrian as well as Tamilian style and believe me it was all sitting long hours in front of that fire!!!!

@Arpi - I know you must be feeling you've missed out but believe me, its no fun sitting with tears running through your cheeks thanks to the fire and having your friends and family ask you if you are okay about a 1000 times and then ask you to look their way and smile so that they can click a pic of yours... Sounds funny today and pretty charming but at that point of time I wanted to scream and just run to the nearest court house with Subodh (my husband) and get married quietly!!! :P :P
