Hahaha Arshi.. I can understand.. One does get bored with holidays, if it lasts for long at your age.. but there comes a time when you really long for it... :)Hi Ini and Harry :) *offers tea and snacks to Ini*
booklover wrote: "Hi Sumit! I think this is the first time we've talked:PHow are you?"
I'm good, Arshi. How're you? :)
@Ini - am reading Paper Towns by John Green and really enjoying it.. Wanted some light reads before starting War and Peace :P :P
booklover wrote: "@hp: Hi! So, sorry I missed your special "bhayya" moment last night :P"ROFL :P :P *tells Arshi that my firstborn has several such hilarious moments* :P :P
booklover wrote: "@hp: Hi! So, sorry I missed your special "bhayya" moment last night :P"SRI, based on this, should we call Harry the All-Brother? :P

Srividya wrote: "@all - Am done with this month's BOTM!!!! YAYYYYYY... I feel soo good :D :D :D"O_o Superfast Sri!
Which book is this?
Btw.. its a small book, can be read in a single day.. i took my time over it by putting others in between.. :)
@Arshi - The Shadow of the Wind.. and no was not fast but actually had it on pause for a while so that I could finish other books in between... :) But ya just in time for our discussion :P :P
@Arshi - am currently reading Paper Towns for fun, Flowers for Algernon as part of a buddy read .. will start War and Peace today and also hope to read some of The Lions of Al Rassan, if time permits.. that's all for now.. at least till the weekend, when I will add 2 more books to this list :P :P
That name is already taken by Sou *twists Hulk's ear and glares at Arshiya and Sri *
Mumma how are you?
Manju wrote: "@Sumit: Is Green GGK kind of fantastic??"Nope, not really. The way I would differentiate them is:
GGK - great ability to build visual images in your head - starts off slow and steady, allowing you to soak in the awesomeness of his world, and conversations and interactions are not too detailed. However, they are crafted very well and leave an impact.
JG - His forte is writing about human interactions and relationships. He starts off with a knife to your gut, which you know is going to hurt, but when he does twist it and make a deep stab, you still don't see it coming.
Reading his books is like driving a car at a high speed on a dark, rainy night. You KNOW you might crash, but you can't slow down. And when you crash, you don't do so when you most expect it. Then, you manage to survive and emerge from the wreckage of your car, alive but scarred.
With GGK, I can see his world, but as an onlooker. With JG, I feel a part of his world and the pain (or other strong emotions) of the characters feel like my own.
*is depressed by remembering Alaska from Looking for Alaska*

Ishi wrote: "@Sumit: You've read Looking For Alaska??!!"
Yes ma'am. I've also read Paper Towns, and The Fault in Our Stars.
@Sumit, I've not read any Green novel yet, so can't agree or disagree with you. but I think I've never read any other author who'd stirred my emotions like GGK does :D
@Vidya: Finish Lions soon, would love to know if you agree with Sumit or not :D:D
Ishi wrote: "@Arshi: Yes. No. Dunno. :)It'll be fine tho :)"

@Arshi: Currently reading Speak for a BR :)Liking it so far :)
