Oh. Well that's good that he is sleeping then so he would be able to take a rest.

What are you doing?

message 9153: by Anoop (new)

Anoop Pai B (anooppai) @Srividya- i am kinda pleased to see that such words are taught to them. I would have loved it, if I too was exposed to such a level of vocabulary early on :)

Christine Danielle (christinedanielle) Sri:
Oh. What are you ranting about?

message 9158: by Srividya (new)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) @Anoop - its important to teach words that are age appropriate.. not all kids will pick up such words.. And they don't know hesitate or waver or indecision and are directly given words like Dither.. I mean its too much

Christine Danielle (christinedanielle) Srijee:
I tried to make lipstick using crayola crayons and I failed. -.-
I'll try doing it again and see if it will work
xD

Anoop Pai B (anooppai) Not all kids pick up Math but do they remove it from syllabus?? Dither would be more useful than Sin teta, cos teta :) just saying :)
You do have a good point though :)

Not for a second-grader though. Also, I guess it's more important to string together simpler words in clear sentences than to learn tough words right from the word go.

message 9163: by Anoop (new)

Anoop Pai B (anooppai) Dither is a simple word, it is pronounced as written. Rendezvous would be a tough word :)

LOLS sumit..

@sri true.. nowadays the syllabus is seriously getting so crazy in the name of advanced..!!

message 9165: by Srividya (new)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) @Anoop - I am talking in context of a second grader. They are 7 year old children and yes such words are important.. but there are several others that they should know and can learn easily before they get to this point..

@Sumit - i totally agree.. kids will simply learn these words by rote and use it in the wrong manner...

message 9166: by Bloodyhell (new)
