You collect books because you can't imagine a life without reading, especially reading quality stuff.
You can't resist books that are by up and coming authors. You like to be ahead of the curve when it comes to your literary habits.
Your favorite books push you a bit. You don't like reading anything that makes you too comfortable... you like to be challenged.
You read to expand your horizons, perspective, and most of all, your mind. You read to enrich and change your life.
You are the reader that authors dream of. You're willing to give offbeat books a chance, and your taste is expansive.
You treasure your books and take good care of them. You do a lot of culling and buying to make sure you have an impeccable collection.
Your Bookshelf is Impressive
You collect books because you can't imagine doing anything else. You've never met anyone who loves books as much as you do.
It's hard for you to resist almost any book. Sure, you prefer good ones, but you've acquired plenty of weird and mediocre and just plain bad books too.
Your favorite book tends to be the one that you just finished reading. And with you, that can change on a weekly (or even daily) basis.
You read for all sorts of reasons - to relax, to learn, to grow, to laugh. You have books for every occasion and craving.
Your book collection is completely out of control and impossible to organize. You have books in every single room of the house.
You're constantly borrowing, lending, buying, selling, and trading books. You love to share the joy of reading with everyone you know.

I received the exact same analysis.
The only part of mine I disagree with is "Your favourite book tends to be the one that you just finished reading." Not true at all :)

You collect books because you love to read. You love stories, and you reread your favorites over and over again.
It's hard for you to pass up a book by your favorite author. Once you find a writer you love, you tend to read his or her whole catalog.
Your favorite books are full of engaging stories, relatable characters, and surprising plot twists. You like to be immersed in a story. You read when you want to relax a bit or get away from the dreariness of life. Nothing renews you like a book.
You love books for what's in them, and you don't get too caught up in the apperances of your collection. In fact, some of your favorite books are well worn, sentimental favorites. That's worth more to you than the latest shiny hardback.
This is very true of me and my collection. I actually favour a well-worn edition over a clean, new one. I have been known to downgrade copies of favourite books via opp-shopping, when I see an older copy with a more interesting cover or just a bit more character.

I got IMPRESSIVE too Phrynne:) But I don't agree with some of their standard answers when relating to me though! Your favourite book tends to be the one that you just finished reading. (that's the same as you too!) plus You're constantly borrowing, lending, buying, selling, and trading books. Nah!!! Partly yes (the borrowing and buying bit!) but.....

The selection of answers weren't ever open but that's usually the way it goes for these type of quizes so I'll just hush now..lol

Yes I found some questions hard to answer as they weren't really "me"...

I wouldn't agree that my favourite book is the one I'm reading. And I don't sell or trade my books, and only lend them to people I can trust to give them back!

I definitely treasure my books and take good care of them, but I can't say I'm good at culling. Giving me a small space problem in our tiny house.

That is exactly why I read: "You read when you want to relax a bit or get away from the dreariness of life."

Though the only bit that would not be me is the selling of books, I can't bear to part with any of my literary babies... (though I have been known to part with the odd double-up, and some of the baby books my kids have grown out of)

You collect books because you are a glutton for facts and information. You take in as much as possible.
You never pass up a book that will teach you something new - whether it's well written non-fiction or a classic novel.
Your favorite books are dense and full of knowledge. You like a book to rock your world and completely change the way you think.
You read to learn and experience everything. You believe reading is the best form of travel, including time travel.
You see your book collection as a work in progress. Since you read every kind of book, you still have many to acquire.
Over time, you'd like to have a mini-library of your own. Whenever you need to look something up, you'd like to have just the book to do it in.
I think that sums it up well though I can also relate to the other possibilities!

It's hard for you to resist almost any book. Sure, you prefer good ones, but you've acquired plenty of weird and mediocre and just plain bad books too.

You collect books because you can't imagine doing anything else [um no, I collect books because I want to read them and then I want to inflict them on other people to promote literacy and to have something interesting to talk about].
You've never met anyone who loves books as much as you do (actually no my ex was more of a bibliophile than me but less distinguishing, he just loved every and any book whether he would ever read it or not].
It's hard for you to resist almost any book [no it is hard for me to resist the RIGHT books but many are beneath me]. Sure, you prefer good ones, but you've acquired plenty of weird and mediocre and just plain bad books too [which I try to cull when the kids let me].
Your favorite book tends to be the one that you just finished reading [no, really no] . And with you, that can change on a weekly (or even daily) basis [true. finally a true comment].
You read for all sorts of reasons - to relax, to learn, to grow, to laugh [yep all of those]. You have books for every occasion and craving [almost].
Your book collection is completely out of control and impossible to organize [challanging rather than impossible]. You have books in every single room of the house [yes, yes I do].
You're constantly borrowing, lending, buying, selling, and trading books [yep]. You love to share the joy of reading with everyone you know [I tend to gravitate toward people who read interesting things and have interesting opinions about them].

I'm also OCD about my book collection Kristen! I've made the mistake of lending a couple - they ended up damaged:( Don't get rid of my fav's either;)
I'm totally OCD (or should I say CDO ;)) yeah I've learnt the lending books mistake myself! I lent a book to someone at work...didn't c it for a year....then they told me they gave it back...which they hadn't....and then we had a secret Santa....and guess wat I got?!...yep my book totally damaged! I was soo shocked I didn't no how to react! And they laughed it off saying they found it in their back shed being used as a door stop!!! I was so cranky!!!

That is so very rude!!!
Yeah it was!! And the fact that he didn't even apologise really cheesed me off...no offer for a new one or anything!!! Anyways....my mum gets my weird obsession for keeping a book at top condition... and secretly went and bought me a new one just to make me happy :)
