...Are there rules we have to follow? Like who's allowed to add books to the shelf, spoiler alerts, stuff like that? I ditched another group about post-apocalyptic fiction because every time I posted anything I either got dinged for breaking a rule, or someone got offended. Just want to know what I'm walking into here.

No rules. Add whatever books you want and talk about whatever you like. If someone starts a racist rant I'll politely boot them out, but otherwise I don't mind as long as we're all civil and enjoy the discussion.
This is my favorite genre so I am so in. I have read so many and am always looking for new ones with maybe a little different take on it.
"No rules" sounds great. The only problem with post-apocalypse fiction, even the zombie subsection, is that it's HUGE. Where does a girl even start?
Start with what you're reading now or your favorites. If you are like me we are always looking for more recommendations.
Only zombie books I have read is Feed by Mira Grant and the first book in the The Rot and Ruin series.
