Megan Hi everyone!

I'm curious to see if anyone reads at work on breaks or during lunch. The pharmacy I work in will be closing 30 minutes later starting today which will extend our lunch break to an hour. I don't need that much time to eat, so Ive been deciding what else to do. Why not bring a good book and read!?

Do you like to read at lunch? Do you stay in your office or read around others? Let me know! I need suggestions too!!

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 19 comments I only get 30mins, but go and sit in my car on my own; munch and read. I grab every quiet moment like this that I can to read. I try to support my fellow indies.
It also gives my brain a pleasant change of thought (other than work).
:)

Megan Thats a good idea. You must not live where its too hot to sit in the car until November or so. :p

What do you enjoy reading?

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 19 comments Tee hee; I live in the UK, and have a convertible car, so the roof goes down when it's hot (bit of sunbathing at the same time) ;)

I read all sorts, but mainly romance stuff (as that's what I write it tends to be what I attract).
I try to support other indies by reading their work, and then have a few guilty pleasures of my own.

Megan Of course it counts! Any form of reading counts in my book. :p

I read at work during lunch, coffee breaks and any spare time I have, I don't leave home without my kindle and if I forget sometimes I read on my phone. I'd read all day if I could but work does enable me to purchase more books.

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 792 comments I just recently got a job and I believe I have a fifteen minute break so I'll probably spend it eating my food and checking my phone lol. Although if reading notifications on Goodreads and checking e-mails counts then yes I will be reading at work :)

Sonal Panse (sonal-panse) | 4 comments I read during meals and during work breaks. Not at or during work though. I work for myself and my boss is a stickler about keeping my nose to the grindstone. ;-)

J.L. Vaughan (jlvaughan) | 5 comments I used to read while I was flying at night. No autopilot in the airplane. I got pretty good at fitting my book into my instrument scan when the weather wasn't too bad. My current job is a bit too involved now though ;)

Medavis66 | 94 comments I substitute teach and if I end up with a planning period with nothing to do for anyone, papers to grade, other plans to carry out, OF COURSE I read. I always have my phone and usually an e-reader with me. Often I also have books in my car. I also carry a crochet hook and yarn at all times.
:-)

Not kidding, though I wouldn't say it was the smartest thing I ever did. Once I got a job flying people I kept my reading to airport FBO couches.
