Hey for everyone's interest. A long time ago.. when I used to actually do sth interesting... like develop things for computers.. I studied fonts. So I got to know a lot about calligraphy and writing styles in Urdu.
Let me show you :)

We call each writing style 'Khatt'. The one you will usually see is 'Khatt-e-Naqsh' -> Khatt of Naqsh or just 'Naqsh'. It's usually used online and I kind of hate it. The one I use and most Urdu speakers use is called Khatt-e-Nastaleeq or just 'Nastaleeq'. It's like this:



This is the normal Nastaleeq, in which books are written. There are 2 or 3 forms of Nastaleeq with minor variations. The one you just saw is called Noori-Nastaleeq. There are two others that I know i.e. 'Lahori' & 'Alvi-Lahori'. Then each of these has a Khasheeda form. In Khasheed form, letters are elongated and some people use this style to dodge spelling mistakes. ;)

So this is the Nastaleeq Calligraphy styles, behold! :) :

So this is basically the Khatt(style) of Nastaleeq.

Other than Nastaleeq there are many other styles(Khutoot), namely: 'Naqsh', 'Naskh', 'Kufi', 'Diwaani' and many others.

Even 'Naqsh' which is used on the web is quite beautiful when written properly. The Holy Quran is usually written in 'Naqsh' style Here:

The 'Kufi' Khatt(style):
Kufic style is very old and was used by arabs. I have rarely seen it used by someone for urdu. But it's very very unique. Here:
