This book is from the 90s or early 2000s, and profiles journalists who were fired and their careers and often whole lives were ruined because of what they reported on. Each chapter was basically the story of a different journalist who uncovered something the government or a corporation didn't want known and their editors (I think the majority were TV journalists) fired them and they were basically blacklisted from working in journalism. One chapter may have been on Steve Wilson and Jane Akre who exposed Monsanto's bovine growth hormone in milk.
