Who is better, Poseidon as a GOD or Poseidon as a FATHER ??

He really is a good father! So loving and seems to care about his children more than most the others like visiting Percy in his crib and saving him from the harpies and giving him a sand dollar for his birthday! Plus letting him sit in his throne which is awesome!!
It would seem that Poseidon does kind of rule as far as being a parent his kids as opposed to some of the other Olympians.
Sure compared to the other Olympic parents but compared to a actual GOOD parent he's slightly better then the worst parent and he only gets the slightly because Percy got awesome power from him
His lack of job in the starting of the Heroes of Olympus raised this question
So many gods helped in their quests Bacchus, Hectare, Juno, Aphrodite, Mars even Pluto....where was Poseidon? Maybe he could've sent some message to Percy ..right???

Both. The fact is that he is a godly father defines him to me.
Well compared to the other Olympians he was a better father but he did have less children to be fair. Ooh I saw this picture where Poseidon ran across the sea and backflipped to the front of the Hades cabin then smiled at Nico and said "Hey I heard you like Percy". It was so funny because at the end of the picture Chiron held up a 10 paddle and Dionysis held up a 9 and was like I could do better drunk
I personally think he is one of the better godly parents. I mean he took time out of his day, when he was fighting a war no less! To come wish his son a happy birthday and warn him. Also I feel like he will be way more involved with Percy when Percy is an adult and has children, it will be like, Percy's kid- "Grandpa Seidon! Did you bring me a star fishy?????"
Poseidon- "Well of course I did little one! Couldn't forget that now could I?"
FATHER BECAUSE THAT IS JUST PLAIN AWESOME!!
Actually, i like both. In different cases obviously. I even read the blood of Olympus, but in the whole series of HoO, there was no Poseidon shown, and I was like " Everyone's godly parent is shown, but where is Poseidon?" At least he would have helped Percy when he had Amnesia, but no! That is not what a parent should do, right?( Please do not get me wrong ) -_- (' - ')
I love Poseidon. At least he loves Percy. But yeah, I still wonder why he wasn't mentioned in the HoO series and why he wasn't there for Percy.
