No I'm reading The Bonehunters now. I'm doing the recommended reading order and this group read corresponded to when I was read for NOK. I'm not sure what the schedule is for Crimson Guard but if I'm through TBH and RG I'll join.
Thus why I use lots of spoiler tags. A lot of people read this after GOTM.
Have you finished it?

Thanks for not.....assuming you did from Bonehunters.

Put it this way. After reading two books of the Kharkanos trilogy, which happens a hundred thousand years in the past, I am starting to have my suspicions who Traveller is.
If you wait for the last, you can blast through them. I waited a year or so between one and two and it left me realising I should have re-read.

I think you can read RoftCG and Reapers Gale at the same time. Two completely different story lines.

Don't think it has been announced yet. Was 4 years between 1 and 2! I will probably re-read when three is due out. There is SO much story there, as usual, it takes two reads to absorb it all. The fascinating thing is linking it all to The Fallen. All those ancient characters in Fallen are young-ish in Kharkanos. I was never a big fan of the Andii, find them dour. Whilst they are not a barrel of laughs in this series, it is a fascinating history.
We digress, I haven't even read chapter 4 of this book yet. Will have to wait till lunchtime.

Well, that was certainly an action packed chapter.
What with the Fisherman being swamped by the Raiders potentially opening up Malaz island to their attack. I thought it interesting that they discussed that the Raiders had been held back all this time because of the mage power on the island, and with Surly's mage cull to consolidate power, had left the island weakened defensively.
The attack on Dassem in Y'Ghatan shows the lethalness of Surly and her political planning. This unsurping of Kellanved has been a long time coming, if you think how long Temper has been hiding as a gate guard.
Looking forward to a meeting of minds. Also finding out that Tempers last battle will be for Dancer.

Sure what's 2000 pages........ :)

Sad to see the fisherman go down. Didn't know his story, but who couldn't get behind a guy that just wanted to go out rowing. Let him row his boat!!
Kiska's aunt has a much larger role in the protection of Malaz. Interesting to see, and I hope we get some more of her story.
Temper's history with Dassem was interesting and helped provide the background work for when I already met Dassem over in BotF. If I ever do reread the whole Malazan series, it would have to be in the recommended order.
My interest is piqued and I look forward to the finish!!
