J.J. Mainor | 2440 comments The YA thread piqued my curiosity and if anyone is interested, the Oz books look to be free on Amazon.

Jen Pattison | 409 comments Thanks for that J.J. - I've always fancied reading the book (I didn't know there were several!) but never got round to it. I checked on UK Amazon, they're free on there too.

I have a lot of freebie classics on my Kindle! I try to find the ones that have been transcribed by volunteers, as there are also ones that are somehow auto-transcribed by Google. It can't distinguish some old-style typeset letters and its attempts to transcribe any phrases in another language are pitiful. A lot of those are just illegible and painful to try to read.

One resource I use a lot for creative commons old books is archive.org - they have a music recording section too.
