Looks like I'm picking for you, Don. I believe your #8 is intended to be Shadows Over Longbourn, and that's the one I'm choosing for you. (I'm not finding any book titled "Shadows Of Longbourn.") It's been in my own TBR pile for a while, so I'll be interested to see how you like it.

Claudine, thanks for the pick. As for the copy of Vampire Darcy's Desire, I have had this one so long (and read it once - loved it) that I bought it first in paperback copy. Regina was one of the first JAFF authors I ever read. So unless she totally revamps it, I don't have to wait. Thanks again!!

I choose [book:Northanger Abbey. One, it is my favorite Jane Austen, two I think it is a good read for October, and three with your recent trip to Bath I think you will enjoy that much more.

Thanks, Abigail! I have that book on my Kindle already, so I can easily give it a go. I'm curious about Steampunk as a JAFF reader told me she'd started reading non-JAFF Steampunk lately, and aspects of it suit my techie POV. Perhaps it's got more potential for JAFF!

No worries, Don. But I'm not picking from my pile. I'd intentionally listed only unpublished JAFF that I've been meaning to read. However, I peeked at your own TBR shelf and found the perfect book for you: The Persuasion of Miss Jane Austen. Someone else assigned it to me from this group's February Someone Else Pick It For Me, and I ended up giving it 5+ stars. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I am so sorry it took me so much time to respond. My son was recently diagnosed with hiatal hernia and is away at school, I caught what the kids have had and threw my back out. I have been tying to decide between You Won't Admit You Love Me, Great Misfortunes and Marry in Haste. I believe I will choose Great Misfortunes, your second choice.

Deborah I feel your sons pain, literally!! When I was pregnant on my first baby, (way back in the dark ages), I developed this. I can tell you the pain is excruciating!!!!! All these years later and I still haven't forgotten it. Hope he's well soon.
Deborah, that’s way too much to hit you at once! I hope you are able to stay in bed and pull the covers over your head for a few days.

Thank you. My son is a college senior. Wish I had pressed for the endoscopy when he was 12. In February he dropped from 102 pounds to 92...he's 21 and 5'6'.

Deborah-so sorry to hear of your son's health problems. It must be so hard knowing he's in so much pain. I know nothing about his diagnosis but I do hope it can be remedied. All the best.

As Sophia wrote in her review, there were some interesting twists from MP. I thought the religious aspect was occasionally a bit much at times.
