Annie Arcane (anniearcane) (view spoiler)

I'm not here.

Tara Woods Turner | 2063 comments This is the best Willy Wonka treasure hunt EVer! The map should be crystal clear with little dashed lines and arrows. And flashing lights.

Quantum (quantumkatana) ROFL.

(Like Ann implied, though, let's not go overboard. Flashing lights are okay, but detailed physiological euphemisms are stretching it, IMO, but the mods have the final say in lowering the boom.)

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) LMAO.

I actually just emailed Alex to thank him. Cuz at the rate we're going, I'm gonna stop reading the threads altogether...

*backs away slowly from group*

^_~

Tara Woods Turner | 2063 comments I wish I were cooler but I don't get it...Willy Wonka is a Dahl character. If a child opened a Willy Wonka chocolate bar that had the golden ticket in it they won a million dollars. So...yeah, I missed something here. Willy Wonka is not a euphemism I am aware of.

Matthew Williams (houseofwilliams) So I get that there's lots of bone jumping and F-bombs. This heroine, she ever get freaky with the paranormal creatures, or are they just for slaying/interesting conversation?

In all seriousness, she sounds a lot like Bo, one of the hottest characters to come out of paranormal/urban fantasy. The call-back to the 70s is also interesting. We get any historical events being played out in the background?

Tara Woods Turner | 2063 comments Oh. But Alex and Annie aren't British. Am I the only idiot?

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) Okay, guys. You can hate me if it makes you feel better. But this stops here.

If y'all have some legit input to offer Mr Michel? *fist bump* If not, then not.

Again, feel free to hate me. That's cool.

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) And thank you for staying on point, Mr Matt!

For you: ♡♡♡

Awww. Yeah, I figured I should start offering something... you know, helpful.

Tara Woods Turner | 2063 comments Tim it's okay to take it easy.

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) @Mr Matt: Yep, I noticed ^_~ I really do appreciate it. Sincerely.

@Mr Tim: As much as I adore you, I'm asking you to stop. I hate deleting stuff cuz we're all adults, eh? So help me out a bit? Pretty please?

Hint: my heroine is not exactly a Human herself. As for historical events, I am still writing the novel but there is already a mention of the Gulf Oil Embargo Crisis and the Vietnam War. Nixon' fall is next.

Perfect, first thing I was going to suggest is including the OPEC crisis. Any mention of the Yom Kippur War? I know the two go hand in hand, but that's the other thing I think about when I think of 1973.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

Actually, my novel starts after the Yom Kippur War, so it is only implied, sorry.

message 67: by Matthew (new)

Matthew Williams (houseofwilliams) Doh! Ah well, can't ask for it all, right?
