Combining box set?

I was combining some Anthony Bourdain books when I got hesitant regarding something, and I thought it better to ask.

This boxed gift set and this box set contain the same two books but are published by different publishers and may not be exactly the same texts throughout, should they be combined or not? If one follows the rules strictly, it's a no, but it is still the same two original books. Am I wrong for thinking they could be combined or what do you think? =)
