Thanks to feedback from awesome readers I have also written a short story that describes how one of the plot elements originated called Jibreel's Curse. It's available free in pdf format if you sign up for my mailing list. I plan on releasing it on Amazon as a free short story soon.

My book Scourge of Byzantium is set in 7th Century Byzantium. Growing up in the 7th Century is hard! Coming of age as a member of the army in the midst of a zombie invasion is really hard! What makes this book unique is that it tries to combine the alternate history, historical fiction, and zombies from the perspective of an 18 year old just trying to gain the confidence he needs to survive the treacherous world he lives in.
