Rebecca | 215 comments This month, let’s combine two of the general populace’s greatest loves: food and books. Food memoirs sometimes focus on cooking, others on eating, and others on the science of cooking. I’ve read quite a bit of these types of books, so if you need some suggestions let me know! Cooked by Michael Pollan is always a good place to start.

This month, I’m going to borrow a book through ILL that combines my love of food memoirs and of Soviet history, Mastering the Art of Soviet Cooking: A Memoir of Food and Longing by Anya von Bremzen.

When food memoirs are good, they’re great! Let us know what you’ve got cooking for this challenge!

Tiffani Erickson (xxreddxx) | 5 comments This has always been a hard topic for me, especially since I don't mix food and books. I may have to try one of these and see how it goes.
Years ago, I did read the book, "Confessions of a Vegetable Lover" by S.M.R. Saia. It was kind of funny and it definitely interesting.
