Christy (cxe134) | 13 comments Hi, I am hoping someone will know the name of the book I am hunting for. It was most likely printed in the 1990s to early 2000s. It is a Harlequin I think. Probably a special edition but I am not sure. It was about a judge (whose name I think was Mason Blackburn or something like it) who was a wizard. An arranged marriage between he and a social worker who was a witch. Apparently most of their population is sterile do once they have been determined to be fertile, marriages are arranged to preserve the population. For the life of me I cannot remember the title or author. I hope someone can help.

Christy, what's the location - U.S./England/country, fantasy world, urban (realistic) fantasy?

What kind of cases does the hero (judge) preside over?

Christy is still looking for this and wrote:

"I read a book in the 1990s or early 2000s about an arranged marriage between a witch and a warlock. Apparently, there were fertility issues so the “society” they belonged to arranged marriages between those found to be fertile. She is a social worker who specializes in domestic violence or child support cases and he is a judge. His name is Mason and his last name is Black, Blackstone, Blackburn or something like that. I think it may have been a Silhouette Intimate Moments novel or something similar."

Christy, Kym's suggestion of His Chosen Bride by Marcia Evanick does sound like your book. Can you confirm?

Here's the Google Books preview - https://books.google.com/books?id=gbH...

The heroine Gillian is a witch and social worker, the hero is Judge Mason Blacksword, they have an arranged marriage.

Here are some ways to find your comments.

Full Desktop Website:
- Click your profile / avatar image in the upper right corner. Then click "Comments" in the menu that opens. (This works well if you don't have a lot of comments on Goodreads.)

Full Desktop or Mobile Website (not the app):
- Go to our Group Homepage. Click "My Group Topics" in the right hand column.

Mobile App:
- Perhaps email the link to your request page to yourself.

Christy, I see this thread is marked Solved in the header. Glad you found your book. For future reference, please post a comment to let us know for sure.

Christy (cxe134) | 13 comments I will do that in the future too. I didn’t even realize I had posted the same question twice. I had to google how to change it to solved so I will save this information as well. Thank you again.

Feel free to update your topic header by clicking the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website -- not the Mobile website or app. (On the Mobile website, there's a "Desktop version" link at the bottom of the page.)

If you have a question about how do something in the group, check our "How This Group Works" folder or post a comment. Periodically, Goodreads changes their interface. Things work differently on the Desktop website, Mobile website, and Mobile app (the latter is missing many of the Goodreads features).
